Treating pubic bone pain during pregnancy

A women 30 weeks pregnant seeks treatment for pain in her pubic bone region.  With a remarkable past history and a careful examination it was found that her ligaments around her pubic bone had become mobile or known as ‘lax ligaments”.  With gentle treatment in standing and sidelying positions we were able to relieve the tension in the pubic bones and pelvis, apply some strapping to support her belly and provide some gentle exercises to assist with both pain relief and stabilisation. This patient continued treatment throughout her pregnancy and immediately after.
